Akhil Sarin is the Chief Marketing Officer at Easygo, the technology powerhouse behind the success of global brands Stake and Kick.
As a key member of the executive team, Akhil develops and executes Stake's marketing vision. He is renowned for pioneering the innovative marketing strategies that challenged industry norms and propelled Stake to its global prominence and market position today.
Leveraging his sharp business acumen, Akhil has been instrumental in securing high-profile partnerships that have significantly accelerated Stake's growth, including the Stake F1 team, UFC, Drake, and Everton FC. Through these strategic alliances, he has not only amplified Stake's brand presence but also created unique, immersive experiences for players, setting new benchmarks in the industry.
Akhil's career in marketing began before achieving an MBA in Sports Management. He ran a digital marketing agency in India in his early 20s and worked in various marketing roles across many industries. In Australia, his first exposure to a sports organisation was at the Australian Football League (AFL). Its fast-paced nature and his personal interest in competitive sports led him to a role at Stake.
Starting as an Affiliate Manager in 2020, Akhil was promoted to Head of Acquisitions and Affiliates within seven months, after successfully implementing Stake's affiliate strategy, from initial planning to full-scale execution. In 2022, he commenced as Director of Acquisition and was then appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer later that year, playing a critical role in building the Marketing team and functions from the ground up.
Akhil is motivated by creating innovative avenues that set industry trends, moving beyond traditional approaches to promote responsible gaming while engaging new audiences.
Affectionately known as 'AK' and described by colleagues as 'hands-on and collaborative,' Akhil is always on the front lines and fully involved in the action, believing in leading by example and taking full responsibility with end-to-end ownership.
