Catalina R. Chacon is a dedicated tribal leader who has served her community since 2006. A passionate advocate for the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), she works tirelessly to protect and preserve tribal sovereignty and the rights of Native children. Catalina has been a steadfast member of her Tribal Council since 2012, bringing over a decade of experience and leadership to her role. She serves as Vice Chair of the California Tribal Families Coalition (CTFC) and Vice Chair of the Tribal Alliance of Sovereign Indian Nations (TASIN), reflecting her deep commitment to tribal advocacy. Additionally, she contributes to broader equity efforts as a member of the Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.
