Alec Thomson is Executive Director of the Arizona Lottery, one of the fastest-growing lotteries in North America, with annual sales exceeding $1.5 billion. Appointed in April 2023 by Governor Katie Hobbs, Alec is working to maximize lottery revenue responsibly to drive meaningful impact for Arizona communities. Some of his key priorities include traditional and non-traditional retail expansion, innovating product merchandising at retail, and engaging the next generation of players with new digital offerings and experiential prizing. Alec is an alumnus of Arizona State University and hails from the US/Mexico border community of Nogales, Arizona.
